From Cherry to Your Morning Cup
Every cup starts as a red cherry on a hillside. Here's the long road it takes to reach our counter.

Coffee is a fruit before it is a drink. The beans we roast are the seeds of a bright red cherry that grows on shrubs in the tropics, usually at altitude.
Picking and processing
Cherries ripen unevenly, so the best farms pick by hand over several passes. After picking, the fruit is removed by washing, drying in the sun, or something in between. Each method changes how the coffee tastes.
Why it matters to us
We buy from a small group of farms we know by name. That lets us pay fairly, plan ahead, and serve coffee that tastes like where it came from.
